GENUP General Update Course
About
The North Carolina Real Estate Commission requires eight hours of continuing education each year between July 1 and the following June 10 (after the initial year of licensure). The eight hours must consist of a four-hour Update course and a four-hour Elective course. Students must hold a North Carolina real estate license in order to get credit for these courses from the Commission. This course has been written by the Commission and is approved for credit.
The four-hour GENUP course is for any broker who is NOT a designated Broker-in-Charge or BIC-eligible. If you are a designated Broker-in-Charge or BIC-eligible at the time of registration, then you should take the BICUP Broker-in-Charge Update Course instead of this course.
This course provides information about current topics including recent or pending law changes, material facts, the top ten complaints against brokers received by the Commission, licensing rules, and other pertinent topics. The content is updated on July 1 of each year.
All materials will be provided at the beginning of class.
