Chartered in 1967, Montgomery Community College is located in Troy, North Carolina in Montgomery County. The College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award certificates, diplomas and associate degrees. The College provides instruction and training in a wide variety of topics focused on preparing students for college-level work and transition to four-year universities, career and technical training and retraining, personal interest, certifications and licensure, early college for high school students, high school equivalency, English as a second language, continuing education and classes sponsored by the National Rifle Association. The College seeks to provide life-long educational opportunities for personal growth, while readying students of all types for existing and emerging careers. The College campus features 182,372 square feet of facilities on 153 acres of land nestled in the hills of the scenic Uwharrie National Forest. The College serves approximately 3,500 students each year through the expertise provided by nearly 300 full and part-time faculty and staff.
