McDowell Technical Community College is a leader in community college education. We have built our reputation on providing high-quality, customer-friendly, educational programs and short-term workforce development classes. We employ a community-minded approach to higher education which responds to corporate training and workforce needs, and provides stimulating, career-focused pathways for individual choice. Every day, we work to break down barriers which have previously prevented minority, low-income and other underserved populations from accessing higher education. We are constantly reviewing our processes and teaching methods to better serve our students, provide high-quality instruction, and motivate our students to complete their personal goals. Our mission is simple: to graduate students who are successful in their chosen careers and in the workplace.
