State Board of Proprietary Schools to Meet
RALEIGH – The State Board of Proprietary Schools will meet via telephone Friday, November 7, at 10 a.m. The meeting is open to the public and will take place at the North Carolina Community College System Office.
The State Board of Proprietary Schools is responsible for oversight of operations concerned with the licensing of certain for-profit postsecondary educational institutions offering non-degree programs to adult citizens in North Carolina, and not licensed by any other state authority as outlined in N.C.G.S. § 115D-89.4.
The State Board of Proprietary Schools will make recommendations for licensure of these institutions to the State Board of Community Colleges, which retains this licensing authority by state law. Those wishing to hear the meeting proceedings must be present at the designated meeting time at the North Carolina Community College System Office, 200 W. Jones Street in Raleigh. An agenda is attached.
