State Board of Community Colleges to meet Nov. 16-17; Transition Committee to meet Nov. 17

RALEIGH – The Transition Committee of the State Board of Community Colleges will meet Friday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. to begin discussions on the position of president of the NC Community College System.

The meeting will take place at the system office, 200 W. Jones St., and is open to the public.

The Transition Committee’s meeting will follow the regularly scheduled two-day meeting of the State Board of Community Colleges Nov. 16-17.

The State Board meeting will begin Thursday at 11:30 a.m. with a Personnel Committee meeting, followed at noon by an issues luncheon titled “Nursing Pipeline.” The presenter will be Renee Batts, associate director of academic programs with the NC Community College System.

Committee meetings will resume at 1:30 p.m. Thursday; the full board will reconvene Friday at 9 a.m. The meetings are open to the public.
