State Board of Community Colleges to Meet in Greensboro for its Annual Planning Session and Meeting

RALEIGH – The State Board of Community Colleges will meet in Greensboro for its annual planning session and regularly scheduled meeting October 28-30, 2015.  The planning session begins Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Education and Workforce Leadership Summit at the Koury Convention Center followed by the NCWorks Partnership Conference’s opening plenary session on collective impact. 

On Thursday, the Board’s planning session continues with presentations from teams connected to Align4NCWorks, the strategic plan passed by the Board in May 2015, and a panel conversation with four North Carolina legislators.  Committees of the State Board of Community Colleges will meet Thursday afternoon at Guilford Technical Community College’s Donald W. Cameron Campus, located at 7908 Leabourne Road, Colfax, NC.

The full Board will convene Friday, October 30 at 9 a.m. also at the Donald W. Cameron Campus. All meetings are open to the public.
