Dr. Garrett Hinshaw, President of Catawba Valley Community College and President of the N.C. Association of Community College Presidents, will serve in a non-voting role as part of the search process.

In appointing the search committee, Dr. Powell said, “This group of individuals is charged with one of the biggest responsibilities this Board has – to fill one of the most important jobs in North Carolina.”

During the Board meeting, the committee met briefly for a general discussion and will establish a process and timeline at future meetings.
