NC Community College System Advisory Council to hold first meeting Sept. 7 in Asheville

RALEIGH – The NC Community College System Advisory Council will hold its first meeting Friday, Sept. 7, at 11:15 a.m. in Asheville.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will take place in the Cherokee Room at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel, 31 Woodfin St.
The State Board of Community Colleges created the System Advisory Council to make recommendations on issues of systemwide or inter-college importance. 
The council consists of 14 members, including State Board members, community college trustees and presidents, and a student. The president of the NC Community College System serves as a non-voting member, except in the case of a tie.
