As a Cherokee County native, I knew after graduating from high school that I didn’t want to have to travel far from my lifelong home and family to continue my education. My goal was simple: find a two-year degree program that would help me secure full-time employment in my community upon completion.
Tri-County Community College was the perfect fit for me and enrolling as a student at TCCC has been one of the best decisions of my life. In addition to being a student, I also am a member of the federal work-study program, which allows me to gain valuable work experience all while I’m on campus. I will graduate in May 2019 with my A.A.S. in Business Administration, and while the future is both exciting and frighteningly unknown, I know my time at TCCC has prepared me to find employment in my community. I hope to eventually find an online bachelor’s program and further my education while also working full-time.
