John “Bryant” Ballance

Born on in Wilson County, and raised there on the family farm John “Bryant” Ballance has developed a passion for agriculture.  Working on the family farm throughout high school and being involved in Farmers of America Ballance decided to enroll at Wayne Community College and earn a degree in Agriculture Business Technology.  Later he decided to double major and also receive his degree in Sustainable Agriculture. 

Ballance has realized since his time at WCC that I should not be ashamed to ask for help.  The college offers several resources to help you succeed and after receiving this help that you need you can feel accomplished.  Ballance still works part-time on the family farm and plans fo graduate December 2017.
