Creating culturally sustaining environments requires more than just good intentions, it demands effective change leadership. In this session, we will explore the crucial role of change leadership in developing and maintaining environments that honor and sustain diverse cultural identities. Participants will gain insights into the principles of change leadership, including how to navigate resistance, build buy-in, and lead through uncertainty. We will discuss the unique challenges of implementing culturally sustaining practices and how to align leadership strategies with DEIB goals. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of how to lead transformative change that embeds cultural sustainability into the fabric of their organizations.
