Time:2:00 PM - 3:00 PM, EST
Virtual | Zoom
Presenter(s): Dr. Lane Freeman, Director of Online Learning, NC Community Colleges

This 60-minute hands-on workshop is crafted for instructional designers and faculty seeking practical ways to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the creation of course modules within a learning management system. After a brief overview of AI and its potential in education, participants will dive into hands-on activities to apply AI in streamlining the design process.

The workshop will guide participants through:

  • How AI can assist in structuring course modules
  • Using AI to create pacing guides for effective content delivery
  • Applying AI-driven “super prompts” to ensure consistency across course materials
  • Leveraging AI to develop video content with AI-generated voice overlays

Participants will work with a pre-built module template, but are encouraged to bring their own content for a more personalized learning experience. By the end of the session, attendees will have the tools and knowledge to apply AI in developing more efficient and engaging course modules across various educational settings.
