On October 18, 2024, the State Board of Community Colleges voted to amend the State Board Code, 1D SBCCC 400.2 – Admission to Colleges. This amendment will open enrollment to undocumented immigrants who attended and graduated from an Adult High School or earned a High School Equivalency Diploma.
The amendment will be effective November 1, 2024. At that time, the amended rule will be published on the North Carolina Community College System’s website, State Board Code – NCCCS (nccommunitycolleges.edu). For your convenience, a copy of the rule in its final form is attached to this memorandum.
