  • Other Affiliations: I serve on various boards and education organizations, including the
    Principal Fellows Commission, Teaching Fellows Advisory Board, and myFutureNC
    Advisory Board. I am also an Adjunct Professor at UNC Chapel Hill.
  • Your connection to community colleges? In addition to my education work in North
    Carolina, I have a personal connection to community colleges because my dad earned
    an associate degree in Nursing when I was four years old, the highest educational
    attainment in my family up to that point. This paved the way for my academic successes.
  • What do you love most about the NC Community College System? I love the
    accessibility of the NCCCS and the breadth of opportunities it offers to students in North
    Carolina. From Career & College Promise courses for high school students to
    post-baccalaureate courses for aspiring teachers, NCCCS students can achieve their
    dreams of today and prepare for the workforce of tomorrow.
